Nebraska Barbecue Bean Casserole
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1– 16 oz. can white beans (or pork and beans)
1/4 c. barbecue sauce
3/4 c. ketchup
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. minced onion
1—10 count can of biscuits
1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Preparation:
Cook the ground beef in a skillet until no pink remains. Drain the grease off.
Mix the ground beef, salt, beans, barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, minced
onion and Tabasco sauce in a large bowl.
Put the mixture into a 9”X9” baking pan and smooth it out.
Pull the biscuit dough pieces into halves and place them side to side over the
mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle cheese over the biscuits and bake an additional
five minutes at 375 degrees.
Yield 6 servings.
